The authenticity of this pub was top notch. Almost brought tears to my eyes and made me want to visit Ireland even more. Communal tables, bustle and warmth, a cozy fireplace and a mish mash of seating... and that's all before I mention how amazing the food was! I had to try a scotch egg and was not disappointed! For my meal I had a burger and chips (loved the malt vinegar on the table) and my friend had the lamb stew and everything was so hearty and flavorful. The Fighting Irish Sundae was also fabulous. Just all around a great spot and I'll make the trip to go back, for sure!

I've been to Fiddler's Hearth many times and never had a bad experience. Today I took one of my employees there for dinner. He'd never been, so it was a different experience for him. He ordered the Shepherds pie and I had the fish n chips. Both meals were perfect. Jess was our server and she was amazing. She was attentive but not so much that we felt rushed. I convinced my employee to order the bread pudding, which is the best I've ever had. He loved it. I will definitely be back and I'm sure I'll be hosting many "team meetings" at Fiddler's Hearth in the future.

You need to eat here! Locally owned with excellent food and friendly service. Great, hearty pub atmosphere. All the food items my group and I ordered were delicious: shepherds pie, bangers and mash, fish and chips, etc. Special appreciation for the fish being cooked well. We will definitely come back here next time we are in South Bend!

Iconic Notre Dame-area spot! Delicious Irish-style pub fare, robust craft and Irish beer selection, and a lively but cozy atmosphere. It’s especially great if you go a bit early in the evening.

Fiddler’s Hearth is what a real pub is supposed to feel like. Not manufactured, not trendy — just authentic, welcoming, and full of life. Grab a seat at a random table, strike up a conversation with someone you’ve never met, order a good Irish meal and a beer, and suddenly the world slows down a little. The atmosphere feels genuinely Irish in the best way possible — live music, great energy, friendly people, and zero pressure to rush out the door. Places like this are getting harder to find. This is the kind of spot that reminds you what real life should be about: good food, good drinks, good conversation, and community.

This is without doubt THE most authentic Irish pub that I have been in (in the USA) in the last 40 years. The food is SO good. The beer is the real deal, (ask for a "black velvet" they make it exactly as is should be) staff are friendly, funny and helpful and the atmosphere is warm, welcoming and fun. Truly a gem.

What a sweet little local joint. The food took awhile to get to our table there were like 3 other tables only in the restaurant so not sure what took so long. Service otherwise was great. Food was delicious and hot.

Wonderful place. The waitress was actually from Ireland and she was wonderful! The bangers and mash as well as the poutine was glorious and really hit the spot! I definitely want to visit again while I am here! There's a lot of Irish pride and tons of authenticity to this place and you will get a warm welcome when you step in!

Lindsay was such a nice, friendly, upbeat server! The atmosphere is great, especially because of the delightful live music. The kids liked reading books from the bookshelf in the corner of the restaurant during the (short) wait for the food. Our table with a couch was so comfy. Our favorite dishes were the lamb burger, the chicken sandwich, the salad, and the Welsh rarebit. At our table, reviews of the Scotch egg, fish and chips, and chicken tenders were mixed. I ordered the Indian curry, mild, but it was still too spicy for me to eat. Just my preference. That still turned out okay, though, because I filled up on the appetizers and the barley/mushrooms served with the curry, no problem. Another member of our party ordered some kind of white fish (I guess it must have been a chef special because I don't see it on the menu now) and he said it was on the dry side. The drinks were great, and the desserts, the Fighting Irish sundae and the bread pudding, were amazing. We had a great time. I would definitely recommend this place, and I would come here again.

Great atmosphere. Authentic feel in an Irish pub. The music one of the nights I visited was great; I believe there were 8 or so people playing strings together. I recommend the bread pudding for dessert! Can't go wrong here.
